Runaway Project

With everything going on here, I think this project takes the prize for taking the longest to finally finish. The embarrassing thing is, it's not that complicated. Not even close.
I found this box while navigating some local thrift stores while the girls were visiting. It's a stationery box, part of a gift I have in mind for someone special. I just wanted to change it a little bit. (Okay, I wanted to change it a lot. However time, events and very little crafting motivation took their toll.)
It started out as a bright red, which I toned down with some acrylic paints. Then I just did a basic design on the back. Enough to make it "not plain" anymore. Honestly, with the amount of brain power it took just to come up with this, you'd think I'd have a da Vinci or something to show for it!
The front is even more dramatic...
Yeah. Anyway, just so you don't fall asleep on me, I want to show you one of my favorite product packaging treatments:
After several moments of unwinding, all the shrink wrap is now on the left, with the bubble wrap still to go.
Wait for it.....
Ta-da! ATG tape from Framing Supplies (see that little box on the right?). Gotta love it!
