Glitter Me This

Tag Tuesday #49 - Use glitter!
I admit it. I'm not a big glitter girl. Too messy, too... glittery. I have a hard enough time keeping ink from going everywhere. Glitter? Forget it! I'm a big fan of glitter glues (Stickles, etc.) because they put glitter (usually) just where I want it (sometimes) and even those I use sparingly. (Probably nothing to do with the fact that I always stick my finger in the glue after I get it just where I want it.)
However, the theme for Tag Tuesday this week is glitter, so I jumped out of my comfort zone to play.
My first attempt didn't go so well. (The idea was brilliant, I must say - but the execution? Not so much.) I scratched that and decided to do something a bit easier. This time, I embedded the glitter in some UTEE and heat set the UTEE and therefore the glitter into place. It worked wonderfully, except that I don't think the photo shows the background glitter very well.
I used three kinds of glitter - Fine Diamond Dust Glass Glitter and Citrine Shards Glass Glitter, (Thanks, Sarah!) and Fired Brick Distress Stickles (I couldn't resist). The heart is from Tim Holtz's new Alterations dies (thanks, Lori!).

Photos very seldom do justice to glitter...wonder why that is?
Awesome tag, but I'm green with envy that you have Tims dies already!
