A Distraction Named Sadie

There's a reason I haven't been very consistent in my posting the last few weeks. Her name is Sadie.

I love that picture - she looks so tough!
I brought Sadie home from the local Humane Society a few weeks ago. There's been a natural period of adjustment for us both as she settles into her forever home.

And she was a great surprise to DH when he came home after being away for three weeks. (Yes, it was a good surprise!)
Sadie is a Whippet mix (we think) and about 4-1/2 years old. She was well cared for, but her owner passed away and relatives couldn't keep her. She was in the Humane Society only about 3-4 weeks before I found her and couldn't resist bringing her home.
She's a sweet girl and the really nice thing about not getting a puppy is that she is already trained. She's very smart and figures out what I want her to do very quickly. She has a bed in my studio and snoozes (and snores!) while I'm working.
I'll think we'll get along just fine.
