Black Magic

If you saw the goodies I received yesterday you may have noticed the pad of Black Magic ColorCore paper from Core'dinations. This is some fun stuff!

It's a colored cardstock with a black overlay on one side. There is also "The Chocolate Box" cardstock which has a chocolate brown overlay. (Yes, I had to get that too!) Anyway, the idea behind it is similar to a white core cardstock: Sand, scratch or emboss the black side and the color peaks through.

I used the Mesh Cuttlebug embossing folder on a blue/black combo, then sanded the black side to further reveal the blue color underneath. Don't sand the colored side, it doesn't work (as I discovered). Still, it makes for some fun projects!

I put the cardstock backwards in the Mesh embossing folder, so instead of mesh I got bumps. I figured "alligator skin" would be more interesting than mesh to the recipient of this card.

This card looks so familiar, oh, yeah it's sitting on my sons dresser!
Thank you!
