A Bit of This and That
By ScrappyPam on Dec 15, 2008 | In News
I am to the point where I am walking around with that "deer in the headlights" look on my face. I have missed all of my Christmas deadlines, I am creating nothing - not even Christmas cards or gifts (hence the deadline missing, above), and my studio looks like a whirlwind came through it, putting things in places they're not supposed to be.
I do have a new computer up and running. Finally. It took me 2-1/2 days to transfer everything over and getting everything set up the way it was on the old one. And no, I'm not quite done yet, as I had some...issues. I'm very happy with my early Christmas present, but I obviously did not think things through very well. Setting up a new computer is relatively easy. Transferring contents from the old to the new is not so easy. Or at least, it's not fast. So why did I not wait until after all of my Christmas deadlines were complete? It's a mystery.
And naturally, when I set up the new computer, I had to rearrange my desk, too. No, still not done.
I've also been happily monitoring the first week of StampHaven's opening and enjoying seeing all my old (and new) friends. If you love to stamp, talk about stamping and sharing your stamping projects, come join us!
Like vintage stamping and art? Try The Vintage Veranda - all vintage, all the time! Both sites are free to join.
On a final note, this is but one of the reasons why I refuse to use Microsoft Internet Explorer as my browser: Serious flaw in Internet Explorer not fixed yet. What do I use? Firefox from Mozilla. It's free; you can download it here.
(No, I don't use Microsoft Outlook Express or Outlook, either. Both are havens for spammers. I use another Mozilla product for all of my email: Thunderbird. Yep, it's free, too. (And it's spam controls are oh, so much better!)

Hugs,Kelly
I made some cards and I bought a whole load of them....but I don't feel in the slightest bit bad about it. I am behind with my deadlines but for the first time ever I am a bit "whatever" about it....oh the freaking out may come yet..... but this year I am determined that it will be back to basics and chill out about stuff.xx remind me of that statement in future! love tina x
Oh, and watch out for those headlights...they can cause you to stumble over the stuff piled on the floor!! LOL
Firefox is so much better than IE or Safari (for Mac ppl)!!
I'm hoping to have more time to stop by the Vintage verandah next year (will be dropping down to 4 days work a week)!!
Take care!!
(hugs)
