Or: What Happens When You Put Gesso On Photo Paper?
You've always wanted to know, haven't you? (Say yes.) The other day I printed some photos, and my ink cartridge didn't want to cooperate. Which left me with a sheet of photos that I can't use because pictures of people just aren't very attractive when they have lines through them. (Of course I saved it - look at my name!)
Today that photo paper sat there on my table, staring at me. (You have stash that does that, don't you? You don't? Hmmm...) I decided to use it to make an arch. Then I decided I wanted some dimension, so I got out my gesso. I had no idea what would happen, but look at this:
See the crackle? And see the dark spot at the top? That's where part of the photo came through. Isn't that the neatest thing? I am just beside myself with delight at the results.

I have no idea what I'm going to do next will show you the finished project in my next post (hopefully).
