Spritz & Flick
By ScrappyPam on Mar 29, 2008 | In Stamping
The other day, Roni over at Ink Stains showed us a technique that involves Distress Inks, an ink blending tool and water that she called "Spritz & Flick".
I loved the results. Wanted to try it. But where Roni used cardstock, I used a glossy coated paper, with slightly different results:
On the coated paper, when I blotted the excess water off, I found that the Distress Inks didn't create quite the same affect as on cardstock. Instead of creating a soft watermark with inky rings around it, I had a brighter spot where the ink was removed, and there didn't seem to be any blending into the surrounding areas.
But, I liked it. I've always liked the look of Distress Inks on glossy paper. Try this technique on different papers and see what you get.
Here are the cards I made with the results of my experiment, which will be going to CARDSFORHEROES.ORG:
* Linen Background stamp from Stampin' Up!
* Aged Ornament stamp and sentiment from theangelcompany
