March Birthdays
By ScrappyPam on Mar 27, 2008 | In Stamping
I have several good friends who have birthdays in March. I decided to use my new Sizzix Texture Plates on some paper for the cards when I realized that I was supposed to have some sort of kit to go with it. (You know, those things that go in the "sandwich" to make it do right in the die cut machine.) And naturally, I don't have it. I bought the plates online, and the blurb that told me how great they are didn't bother to tell me that I couldn't use them without extra stuff.
So I used them anyway. I've only experimented with a piece of patterned paper so far - thin paper - but I'm not too keen on the results and it definitely won't work on cardstock. I'll have to go back and figure out what else I can use to make the plates work without buying more stuff. I'll let you know what I come up with. (And if anyone has any suggestions - please, do tell!) ETA: I have the Sizzix Big Kick. That little bit of info might help, huh?
Here's one of the cards I made. You can barely see the embossing on the background (click on the image to see the big version):
