Busted

I happened to mention in yesterday's "Oriental Challenge" post that I didn't have anything oriental in my stash. The husband read it and made the appropriate comments regarding my card. Then he mentioned, rather casually, "What about that paper I gave you for Christmas? Wasn't that oriental?"
Uh...
Oops.
The paper he is referring to is the Far East Mat Stack from DCWV. And he did indeed get it for me for Christmas and it is oriental in theme. My explanation is that it is too nice to cut into use it for something ordinary and that I was hiding it away and hoarding saving it for a special occasion. After all, I didn't even use the beautiful handmade paper he gave me last Christmas until almost a year later. And then I only used one piece - don't want to get all wild or anything.
I guess now that I'm reminded that I do indeed have this special paper, I should probably use one itsy-bitsy piece some of it.
Good thing there are two sheets of each pattern in this stack.

Everytime I pick it up I think I need to buy one for myself, because I don't think she's going to share. LOL
I love the card you made!
And I do the same thing with my papers. I won't use them for just "anything" they are reserved for special projects. LOL
