Coaster Album
By ScrappyPam on Sep 30, 2008 | In Mini-Books
I love making mini-albums of all kinds. They're easy, fun and quick! I usually give them as gifts, and they're the perfect size to set on your coffee table so that they can be enjoyed by family and friends.
Here's one I made out of coasters.
* Paper: Tuscany Spice Designer Collection (V-902, pg 92), Genevieve Fly With It Collection (V-852, pg 70), Ivory Ultrasmooth Cardstock (V-222, pg 112)
* Stamp sets used: summerelegance (T-2883, pg 83), fancycurls (T-2804, pg 25)
* Ink: VersaMagic Hint of Pesto Chalk Ink (S-958, pg 116), Antique Linen, Vintage Photo and Pine Needles Distress Inks
* Also used: Mega Circle 2-1/2" Punch (D-74, pg 115), Corner Rounder (F-490, pg 115), Brads, buttons and coordinating ribbon
Winchester Moo Album
By ScrappyPam on Jul 21, 2008 | In Mini-Books
I created this little Moo** album to hold some Moos that I received in a swap. I cut a coaster in half and covered it with my patterned paper. Then I created pages and pockets from cardstock and used my Bind-It-All to put it together.
The Bind-It-All is a must-have tool if you like doing mini-albums and books!
**A Moo is a small canvas (approximately 1.1 x 2.8 inches - roughly half the size of a business card) that are created and traded much like ATC's (Artist Trading Cards).
* Patterned paper from the Winchester Collection (V-835, pg 42)
* Images from agedornaments (T-2803, pg 19)
* Square Coasters (H-102, pg 108)
* Bind-It-All (F-506, pg 114)
Shabby Chick Coaster Album
By ScrappyPam on Oct 29, 2007 | In Mini-Books
Earlier this month, my TAC upline invited me to do a make-and-take project at her open house event. She wanted a coaster album, and here is what I came up with:
* Patterned paper from the Country Cottage pack (designercollections, V-905, page 36)
* All stamps from the curls&swirls set (T-2773, page 82)
I found the designercollections paper packs to be perfect for the shabby chic style I did this little album in. They were also convenient - at 8"x8", it was easy and fast to cut the paper in quarters for the 4"x4" coasters.
I still have to do my journaling for this album, but you can see that I've left space for that. I used the Bind-it-All to bind the coasters together, but for the make-and-take we punched holes with the Crop-A-Dile and used a binder ring. This way the guests can add more to their album later if they'd like.
If you would like the complete instructions on how I assembled this album, use the EMAIL ME! link in the right sidebar to make the request and be sure to include your email address. It's in a Microsoft Word Document, but if you need it converted to something else, please make a note of that, too.
